strobo B M is a design agency founded by Matthias Friederich and Julian von Klier in 2012 in Berlin. A scholarship from Olafur Eliasson and the associated teaching position in 2012 at the Institute for Spatial Experiments at the Berlin University of the Arts initiated the joint design office. Since 2014 the office is based in Munich.
Their work has been awarded with numerous prizes such as German Design Award, International Digital Emmy Award, Schönste Bücher Deutschlands or 100 Beste Plakate. In 2022 the studio has been nominated at “Förderpreise für Design” by the city of Munich. Current reference projects include the visual identity of Kunsthalle Bielefeld, art direction and ongoing editorial design of the world-renowned magazine for architecture DETAIL, the website of Karlsruhe University of Arts as well as publications and exhibition graphics for institutions such as Lenbachhaus Munich, Villa Stuck or Architekturmuseum at Pinakothek der Moderne (Munich).
